Here you'll find contact details for over a hundred film and video festivals around the globe. All these festivals accept submissions from around the world. You'll also find a number of film markets sprinkled throughout the list.

Remember to make sure that the festival/s you decide to submit to accept the format that you made your film in. Be selective - it can get expense if you take into account the cost of submission, duplication and postage. By reading the trade rags and keeping an eye out on the Net you'll soon realise which festivals are hot and which are not.

Handy Tip: If your film is selected for screening in another country try and convince the trade/art/diplomatic branch of that country to pay for you to attend the festival. (For example the British Council in South Africa may pay a South African filmmaker to fly to Britain.)
